Digitizing a Cultural Framework for Care

Indigenous care is holistic and multifaceted. iAwhi digitizes our cultural, aspirational and clinical plans to ensure we are capturing the holistic care of our clients – including their physical health,  their emotional and mental wellbeing, their goals, their personal needs, and contractual obligations.

Ngākau Purotu- A Kaupapa Māori Practise Model

One of the key features of iAwhi is our ability to be able to incorporate a Cultural framework. Ngākau Purotu provides a platform for us to deliver our Kaupapa Māori Practise Model and to record data that aligns with both Mainstream and Cultural systems and outcomes. Whānau Ora is the pathway to Wellbeing and iAwhi provides us with the vehicle to develop a collaborative Whānau Ora plan that is supported by the Clinical Service Plan. The data integrates to ensure all aspects of Whānau Ora are achieved alongside our contractual requirements.

How might someone use iAwhi?

Connecting everyone

To optimise the client's journey of care, everyone needs to be on the same page because there are many people on board the waka (canoe)! Home based care extends beyond the home.

Whānau need engagement, communication, customer satisfaction feedback, planning/appointments, goal implementation, live updates.

Kaiāwhina need easy data input, communication, engagement, planning/appointments, goal referencing, risk reporting/adverse events.

Team Leaders need data analysis, full oversight, roster and staff management, payroll data, quality assurance, communication, goal setting, reviewing, reporting, risk management

Team Leaders can define tasks and goals within iAwhi, Kaiāwhina can update progress and record their daily shifts, and Whānau can keep track of what is happening with their loved one.

We are all part of the journey of care and the client is at the centre of it all.
